Feeling the love

Another day, another bold statement via my clothes. Today, I love you. No, really – I do. But it’s cold, so I have to cover my love with a cardigan.

The cardigan is Émile from Sézane. It looked very different when I bought it: oversized, soft and basically a giant hug. I wore it all the time when I was pregnant. It went with everything, and the bright red made me happy.

It looks a little different now, though, because I shrank it. I changed my daughter’s nappy, lifted her legs, and she projectile-pooed all over me – and Émile. Without thinking, I threw it straight into the wash and turned it into a very, very little Émile.

Thankfully, Rob saved the day. While it was still wet, he stretched it back into shape – not its original shape, but close enough.
